You may choose to reject at any time through the 'Reject this Application' button at the bottom of the Application Detail page; or at a decision point by clicking the ‘Red X ()’. Either way, you will need to select a disposition code from a predefined list (predefined by your organization). Choose disposition from drop down menu to display message text.

To reject more than one application at a time, see Multi-select Functionality to mass reject. Mass rejection must have the same disposition. |
If the situation requires that no email be sent, you can override the outgoing email by clicking ‘no’ after the Send Email request. This would be appropriate if you’ve already had a conversation with the applicant, or otherwise addressed the situation. In most other circumstances, you should send the communication so that the applicant is apprised of their status. You may see or use {{variables}} in the outgoing email. These variables will be replaced with the appropriate field in the outgoing email.
To reactivate a rejected application, simply visit the candidate's application detail page you wish to reactivate and click the green "Override 'Rejected' and mark as 'Active'" button. If the button is not visible to you please contact your Supervisor to complete the task.
Rejecting ‘Unfavorable Background Results’ and ‘Pre-Adverse Action’
Will the candidate know the specific reason they are no longer being considered?
Most dispositions have a generic, friendly email associated with why they are no longer being considered. As mentioned, there is the option to select not to send an email by selecting 'No' next to Send Email.
