Processing Applications is one of the most critical component of the system. Here is where you document that this application followed the predefined pre-hire process (
example
below) until the application is either hired or rejected. In OnShift Employ, the system will not allow skipping around or omitting stages. A linear application processing system ensures every applicant is fairly experiencing the exact same application process.

Advancing an applicant
Anytime an application is at a stage with the continue/reject buttons ( ) , it means an administrator needs to take action. Usually, the administrator assigned is expected to take the action, but there may be exceptions. The current stage dictates the action that is expected.
In the above example, the stage reads “Review application & résumé – Is applicant qualified? Eligible? Position is available?” Application” .
The system is asking you to review those pre-hire documents, resume and behavioral assessments (if applicable).
Make a determination based on those factors (applicant is qualified, eligible, and the position is still available).
Then take action. Either click the green button to advance to the next stage or click the red button to start the rejection process.
Rejecting an applicant
You may choose to reject at any time through the “Reject this Application” button at the bottom of the Application Detail page; or at a decision point by clicking the ‘Red X ( )’X’. Either way, you will need to select a disposition code from a predefined list (predefined by your organization). Choose disposition from drop down menu to display message text. (For more detail see: Rejecting an Application)
