This is the most critical component of the system.  Here is where you document that this application followed the predefined process (for example - red boxed area below) until the application is either hired or rejected. In CandidateCare, the system will not allow skipping around or omitting stages. A linear application processing system ensures every applicant is fairly experiencing the exact same application process.

Actions Column

There are four types of icons you may see in this column:

  1. Magnifying glass  – The magnifying glass denotes that there is something available to review associated with this stage.
  2. Check mark – Denotes that this stage was completed, but there is nothing available to review.

  3. Yellow Caution triangle  – Denotes the current stage, but it’s an applicant stage, no action is possible from an administrator at this time (except to reject the application).
  4. Continue/Reject buttons – Denotes the current stage, and it’s waiting for an administrator to take some action.

Anytime an application is at a stage with the continue/reject buttons ( ), it means an administrator needs to take action.  Usually, the administrator assigned is expected to take the action, but there may be exceptions.  The current stage dictates the action that is expected.

In the above example, the stage reads “Review application & résumé – Is applicant qualified? Eligible? Position is available?”

  • The system is asking you to review those pre-hire documents, resume and behavioral assessments (if applicable).
  • Make a determination based on those factors (applicant is qualified, eligible, and the position is still available).

Let’s review the completed employment application.

  1. Click the magnifying glass in “Application Form” line item to open a preview of the employment application PDF.
  2. Save the employment PDF by clicking on the Download icon or Print icon to, you know, print.
