Your initial Employ set-up includes a few Message Templates. These are editable, add new templates or delete the samples.

Storing frequently used Message templates allows you to message candidates within Employ in just a few clicks. Message to Candidate Messages sent through OnShift Employ are emailed to the candidate as well as saves a copy in their messages found on their dashboard. OnShift Employ’s extensive message tracking works like your regular email server. Candidate Messages allows a candidate to reply to messages sent through the system; keeping organized, written records of all your correspondence

ADD A NEW MESSAGE TEMPLATE

  1. Title - internal use only – template label seen in dropdown templates

  2. Email Grouping - also known as “friendly_id”.  An Email Grouping  can be aligned to a specific stage within the application process. When the stage is advanced Message Templates are automatically opened and only the messages in the Email Grouping are available to select from.  Ideal for correspondence that may vary by department, jobs titles or location.  Offer Letters, Interview reminders, Orientation Information, drug screening information, etc.
    *Email Group formatting must not have spaces. application_reminder, testing_information, etc.

If you would like a grouping tied to a stage, please contact your Employ Support Rep.

3. Accessible by? – default to Anywhere

  • Anywhere allows access to the template from anywhere within Employ.

  •  Stage Level Emails Only – restricts the Messages to only be used in a specific stage. When the stage is initiated the messages using this requirement are the only ones available.

  • Automated Emails Only – restricts the message to an automated email linked to a specific stage. Only one message may be used per stage.

  • Application Message Email Only – restricts accessibility to Applicants

  • Recruit Email Only – messages only available in the Recruitment Contacts module

 4. Subject – is the subject line sent to the candidate or recruit

5. Body – Message text

The last two fields are linked to Employ Text:

leave blank if you are not Text enabled.

6. Sms Mapper -  add an auto-fill variable (optional)

7. Message – 140 character simplified text version of the above Message body.
