Job Ad

Sell your brand! Shout out your benefits! Add a teamwork picture! The Job Ad (optional) found on the Job Description step on an opening compliments the job description. A link at the bottom of the published opening allows the candidate to review the original job description.

Create an optional job ad.
The job ad will appear alongside the opening.

Note: If used, the Job Ad will also default in Indeed.com’s XML feeds.

Customers using Indeed Easily Apply: It is important to include a short description of the job – the link to the full job description is not active on Indeed.

Best Practices for Using Job Ad

As best practice, include the following in your Job Ad:

  • A brief summary of the position (1-2 sentences)

  • Basic minimum requirements

  • Salary rate

  • Benefits

  • Optional – Open Interview or hiring event information

Here’s an example of Job Ad without enough information:

Job boards may block job ads without enough job-specific information in the description. Additionally, a candidate scrolling though job boards will not see enough information about the job to grab their attention and will more than likely keep scrolling.

Preview how the job looks when posted by clicking the view icon or visit your Employ Current Openings page.

Please Note: It is up to the job board aggregator to pick up this file and publish jobs. OnShift cannot guarantee that any job board aggregator will use the file or provide timeframes for when they might refresh their jobs.
