Nag Messages
Schedule automated application reminders, interview invites, and more to send out at a specific time.
Create a New Nag Message
Go to Manage System → Message Templates and click the Nag Messages tab.
Click +New
For this example we are creating an Application Reminder for Chicago applicants only.
Enter a Title for internal use only.
Select the Messaging Type - Client Reminder.
Submit
Choose a template (if applicable).
Edit the title you entered earlier, if needed
Create a subject line for the message. This will be the subject line of the message sent to the candidate or recruit.
The message body text will be populated if you chose a template above. You can edit the body for this specific message here. Any edits made will not update on the original template.
(Likewise, any edits made to the original template at a later date will not update this nag message.)
If you did not select a template, enter the nag message body text.
Click Next.
Filters
Use the optional Filters to pinpoint the candidates to receive this message.
Typically, you will want to nag the newest users who created an application, but abandoned the process. You can have multiple nag messages, and they will work in tandem as described below.
Application created is between – enter the start and end days to send this nag message.
Example: a candidate completes two of four stages, but does not complete the application. We can send our Application Reminder message to applications not completed but created between two to 30 days prior. After the 30th day, the automated reminders stop sending to the candidate.
Application modified is between – enter the start and end days to send this message. This nag message excludes sending to those whose applications have been touched by either a candidate or admin, indicating there is active activity.
Example: a candidate has modified but not yet submitted their application. This message will send within the timeframe indicated.
Selecting modified dates excludes applications within the “Application created” date range because there has been an action on that application.
Job is – to send this message to all job titles, do not select any job title. Select titles only to limit which openings this message will send to.
Location is – to send this message to all locations, do not select any locations. Select locations only to limit which locations this message will send to.
Stage is – select a stage(s) a candidate might not have completed that may need a reminder.
Example: A candidate has 5 to 7 days to accept an offer. You could set up an Offer Letter reminder – select the stage “Offer Letter Receipt and Acceptance”.
Milestone is – select a milestone(s) that candidates may have not completed that may need a reminder.
Example: for an application reminder selecting “Application Package” will send a message to all candidates who haven't completed stages before the Application Review stage.
